Private Nursing at Home in Prescott and Prescott Valley

WholeHealth Concierge is now serving Prescott, Arizona, our first location outside California. Founded and clinically directed by Meagan Williams, RN, BSN, with CCRN certification in adult critical care through AACN Certification Corporation, our practice has spent years coordinating nurse-led, private-pay care for families across Orange County, Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino. The same model, the same clinical standards, and the same one nurse, one family approach are now available in Prescott, for the many California families who have made Yavapai County home.

Now serving Prescott, Prescott Valley, Williamson Valley, Talking Rock, and Capital Canyon Club.

Why Prescott

A nurse-led practice built for the move from Southern California to Arizona

More than a million Californians have relocated to Arizona over the past five years, and Yavapai County has been one of the most popular landing points for retirees leaving Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, and the Inland Empire. WholeHealth Concierge is bringing the same private, nurse-led model that has supported Southern California families for years to the Prescott and Prescott Valley community.

The same model, now in Arizona

WholeHealth Concierge has coordinated private-pay, nurse-led care for families across Orange County, Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino for years, under the clinical direction of Meagan Williams, RN, BSN, with CCRN certification in adult critical care. Prescott is our first Arizona market. Families who already know our approach from California, and families meeting us for the first time in Yavapai County, receive the same standard of care.

Coordination with Yavapai Regional Medical Center

Our nurses coordinate with the discharge planning process at both YRMC campuses, the West campus in Prescott and the East campus in Prescott Valley, as well as with Prescott Outpatient Surgical Center, Tri-City Surgery Center, and Mountain Valley Regional Rehabilitation Hospital. We know which campus and which facility typically handles which type of procedure, so your family does not have to figure that out mid-recovery.

Built for California transplants

Roughly a third of Prescott's population is 65 or older, well above the national average, and a large portion of that group relocated here without adult children nearby. If your family is in Los Angeles or San Diego, that is a flight or a long drive away, not a same-day option after surgery. Our nurses fill that gap: local presence, local hospital relationships, and one point of contact for family checking in from out of state.

Care built for Prescott's geography

Many of the communities we serve, including Talking Rock, Capital Canyon Club, and the greater Williamson Valley corridor, are large-lot, semi-rural, or gated properties well outside downtown Prescott, where a quick pharmacy run or a neighbor checking in is not as simple as it was in a California suburb. And any complication beyond what Yavapai County's Level IV Trauma Center can manage means a roughly 100-mile transfer to Phoenix. Having a registered nurse in the home in the days after surgery is how we catch problems early, before that drive becomes necessary.

Private Duty Nursing

Private duty nursing in Prescott

Most Prescott private duty requests fall into one of two situations: recovery at home after a procedure at Yavapai Regional Medical Center, Prescott Outpatient Surgical Center, or Tri-City Surgery Center, and continuous coverage for an aging parent whose family wants a clinical presence in the home rather than a move into a facility. Because so many of our Prescott clients relocated from California without a local support network, we often begin coordinating before a discharge even happens, sometimes before the family has left California.

Our post-surgical aftercare is structured into six tiers, so a family is not paying for 24-hour coverage when a single extended visit will do, and is not left short-staffed overnight when it will not.

Comfort Care Visit / 6 hours

A single extended visit for lower-acuity recovery: medication reminders, vital sign checks, and supervised mobility, without needing a full day of coverage.

Full Recovery Day / 8 hours

A full daytime shift of one-to-one RN coverage for the first days home after joint replacement or general surgery, including wound checks, mobility assistance, and medication oversight.

Elevated Recovery Day / 10 hours

Extended daytime coverage for higher-acuity recovery, such as cardiac procedures or more involved orthopedic cases, with closer monitoring and more clinical documentation for your surgeon.

Overnight Recovery Care / 10 hours

Overnight RN presence for the first nights home, when overnight monitoring, pain management, or fall risk is a concern, so family caregivers can actually sleep.

Round-the-Clock Care / 24 hours

Continuous RN coverage across a full day, typically used in the days immediately following discharge, when a client should not be alone at any point.

Extended Stay Recovery, priced on consultation / 48 to 72 hours

Multi-day continuous coverage for a more complex recovery, structured case by case with your family and your surgeon.

WholeHealth Concierge is a private-pay practice. We do not bill Medicare or insurance, and every plan is built directly with your family based on the level of coverage needed. Pricing for each tier is confirmed by phone during a free consultation.

Prescott Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from Prescott families

Do you serve both Prescott and Prescott Valley, including both YRMC campuses?

Yes. We cover Yavapai Regional Medical Center's West campus in Prescott and its East campus in Prescott Valley, along with Prescott Outpatient Surgical Center, Tri-City Surgery Center, and Mountain Valley Regional Rehabilitation Hospital. Our nurses know which campus and which facility typically handles which type of procedure, which matters when a recovery plan has to come together on a timeline.

We just moved to Prescott from California and do not have local family nearby. Can you help before a surgery is even scheduled?

Yes, and this is one of the most common situations we support in Prescott. Many of our clients here relocated from Los Angeles, Orange County, or San Diego and have not yet built a relationship with a local primary care physician or specialist. We can start with a care coordination consultation well before any procedure is scheduled, so a nursing plan is already in place by the time it is needed, rather than being arranged after a hospital stay has already begun.

Do you coordinate directly with Yavapai Regional Medical Center's discharge planning team?

Yes. Our nurses coordinate with YRMC's discharge planning process so the move from the hospital to home is supported from the first day. That includes medication reconciliation, wound monitoring, mobility support, and clear communication back to the surgical team and to family members, whether they are in Prescott or still in California.

What happens if a complication requires transfer to Phoenix?

Yavapai County's hospitals hold a Level IV Trauma designation, which covers a wide range of care but means the most complex cases, including major trauma, complex cardiac care, and neurosurgery, are referred roughly 100 miles south to Phoenix area centers such as Barrow Neurological Institute or Mayo Clinic Arizona. Having a registered nurse in the home in the days after surgery is exactly how we help catch a developing problem early, so a family is not making that drive because a warning sign was missed.

Do you serve Talking Rock, Capital Canyon Club, and other communities outside downtown Prescott?

Yes. We serve the Talking Rock and Williamson Valley corridor, Capital Canyon Club, and the surrounding large-lot and gated communities around Prescott. These neighborhoods tend to sit farther from town services than a typical California suburb, which is exactly the kind of gap in-home nursing is built to close.

How much does private duty nursing cost in Prescott, and what do the different care tiers include?

Post-surgical aftercare is structured into six tiers so you pay for the level of coverage you actually need, from a single 6-hour Comfort Care Visit up to full Round-the-Clock Care for 24 hours. In between are Full Recovery Day, Elevated Recovery Day, and Overnight Recovery Care, and multi-day Extended Stay Recovery is scoped case by case. Pricing for every tier is confirmed by phone during a free consultation, and we will walk through which tier fits your situation before any care begins.

How soon can nursing start, and is this covered by Medicare or insurance?

Care can often begin within 24 to 48 hours, and sometimes the same day when a discharge is already in motion. WholeHealth Concierge is a private-pay practice. We do not bill Medicare or insurance, and there is no claims process to wait on. That is part of what allows us to move quickly for a family that needs coverage in place before a discharge, not after.
