A daytime visit
Best for lower-acuity outpatient procedures, the kind of case handled at Corona Summit Surgical Center, and for standalone post-op check-ins. A licensed nurse (RN or LVN), under RN oversight, checks vital signs, reviews the discharge instructions with the family, sets up medications, and confirms wound care is being followed correctly.
The first full day home
Built for the day a patient comes home from a hip or knee replacement, when the surgical team's case manager is no longer watching. Covers vital sign monitoring, pain management coordination with the surgeon's office, mobility assistance, and medication administration per physician orders through a full first day home.
A longer day for higher-acuity cases
For higher-acuity same-day cases, such as spine procedures, revision joint replacement, or multi-level orthopedic work, where a shorter stay did not mean a lighter clinical need. Covers more intensive monitoring, drain management, and closer pain titration coordination with the surgical team across a longer day.
Overnight
For a patient discharged in the afternoon or evening whose household cannot cover an overnight watch, or for the family facing the first night after a fall or fracture repair. A licensed nurse (RN or LVN), under RN oversight, stays through the night for symptom monitoring, medication timing, and mobility assistance if the patient needs to get up.
Around the clock
Matched to hip fracture recovery and other higher-acuity discharges, and to households where working adult children live too far past the Corona Crawl to cover a full day and night themselves. Continuous coverage by a licensed nurse (RN or LVN), under RN oversight, so care never steps down to unattended hours.
Several days or longer
For revision surgery, spine fusion, or any recovery with a longer downtime window, and for the multi-day stretch that follows when a loved one has moved into a Corona household directly from a hospital or rehab stay rather than from their own home.
