In inpatient rehab someone is watching continuously. At home, that stops on day one. Mobility gains made in rehab are easy to lose and dangerous to test alone, and this is exactly the window where a fall undoes weeks of progress.

Post-rehab cases usually need real skilled hours early, tapering as function returns. We would rather stage coverage heaviest in the first fortnight and step it down than sell you a flat schedule that costs the same in week four as week one.

Do you provide private duty nursing throughout Corona?

Can you start right after an inpatient rehab discharge?
Yes, and it is the most common reason Corona families reach us. Rehab discharge is a genuine cliff: continuous supervision stops on day one, usually with new mobility restrictions. We can often complete an intake assessment before discharge so coverage begins the day your family member gets home.
How many hours will we need after rehab?
It depends on mobility, fall risk and how much the medication regimen changed, but the honest pattern is heavier early and lighter later. Most post-rehab families need substantial skilled hours in the first two weeks and meaningfully fewer by week four. We would rather taper the schedule than hold it flat.
Will Medicare or our insurance pay for it?
Medicare does not pay for private duty nursing. Its home health benefit covers only part-time or intermittent skilled visits, generally under eight hours a day and 28 hours a week, for homebound patients. Private duty nursing is private pay, though many long-term care insurance policies reimburse for it when the criteria are met and the documentation is in order.
