Does Medicare cover private duty nursing in Upland?
No. Medicare does not pay for private duty nursing. Its home health benefit covers only part-time or intermittent skilled visits, generally under eight hours a day and 28 hours a week, for homebound patients. Continuous one-to-one nursing at home is private pay, and some long-term care insurance policies reimburse for it.
